Highbush Cranberry

3ft to 8ft shrub found throughout Ontario on a variety of sites, but most common around shore-lands. Moderate shade tolerance. White flowers in June produce soft red fruit that is persistent through winter. Used by birds and other wildlife. Similar species: non-native European Highbush Cranberry.
